On 2 April 2026, Dr Mary Ikoniadou was interviewed by architect and TV presenter Efi Mantzari for an episode dedicated to Imagining Greece, as part of Αστικό Τοπίο [Urban Landscape], a Greek-language documentary series broadcast on the TV channel of the Hellenic Parliament. Imagining Greece, is a digital exhibition exploring the evolution of tourism in Greece from the end of World War II to the close of the Cold War, drawing on material from state and private archives, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, architectural firms, advertising agencies, and the domestic and foreign press. As Co-Investigator on the project, Ikoniadou leads on the visual culture of tourism mobilities, the periodical press, and the role of the Greek diaspora. The episode will also feature architect and Imagining Greece team member Dr Stavros Alifragkis. The interview took place at the Benaki Museum in Athens, one of Greece’s foremost cultural institutions. The Imagining Greece episode is forthcoming.
